On this page you can read answers to the most frequently asked recruitment questions.

  • When will I receive my offer letter?
    • If you are successful, you will receive a conditional offer in writing. This offer will be dependent on the satisfactory completion of our screening and referencing process.

If you have any questions regarding this process, please email: thames.water@reed.co.uk

  • Can I apply for more than one role?
    • Yes. Simply visit our current vacancies page and submit an application for any relevant positions that suit your skills.

  • How long will the selection process take?
    • There are no set stages to the selection process, and for more senior roles you could find yourself meeting us on several occasions before we reach a final decision.

At all times, we aim to operate efficiently and effectively, and to minimise your time investment to the selection process.

We understand the pressures of looking for work and will do our best to make quick decisions and take decisive action wherever possible.

  • How does the interview process work?
    • Depending on the vacancy you have applied for, we will adapt our interview process.

We use competency based interviewing, psychometric testing and assessment centres but there are a variety of other selection tools we use where necessary.

You will be given details of the format when invited for interview.

  • What types of careers are available within Thames Water?
    • We have opportunities within almost every field - from finance to quantity surveying and engineering.

The manager interviewing you will then photocopy and sign these documents.

To support this we aim to provide rewarding careers and a supportive working environment that provides an opportunity for all to utilise their talents and which creates a working community that promotes inclusion and encourages individuality.

These aspects are key to the growth and success of our company.
