Replacing London's Victorian water mains

To reduce leakage and ensure that London's growing population continues to receive the water it needs, we have replaced 900 miles of Victorian mains in just over five years. This figure is set to rise to 1,300 miles by 2010 - enough to stretch more than 11 times around the M25.
