Love Water Ball 2009

As part of our fundraising programme, we organised a glittering Love Water Ball which rose over £630,000 for WaterAid.

The Ball - featuring top-class food, wine and entertainment, as well as a 'money-couldn't-buy-it' charity auction - took place at Old Billingsgate in Central London.

Over 500 guests, including our employees and people from organisations with whom we work, came to enjoy the evening.

Among the many attractions were comedians Michael McIntyre, who treated the audience to some top-quality stand-up, and singer Will Young.

Raft race

Each year we organise a raft race for our employees and business partners on the River Thames. The teams raised £12,640, and we also donated a further £5,000 for the 2009 race.

WaterAid lottery

Our WaterAid lottery, managed by employee volunteers, continues to be incredibly popular. The lottery raised over £42,100 in 2009/10.

Other fundraising

Some other notable fundraising events our employees have participated in are: running the London Marathon, organising quiz nights, golf days and pantomimes.

We also look at innovative ways of fundraising for WaterAid whilst delivering our other corporate responsibility initiatives. Any profits made from our new groundbreaking London On Tap campaign will go to WaterAid.

In 2009/10, we raised a grand total of £2,541,688 for WaterAid. This will help over 126,200 people.
