Distraction Burglary Awareness

We have provided funds to enable Age Concern to produce an information booklet to raise awareness of distraction burglary among vulnerable members of our community and help us tackle the crime.

We have also joined forces with water companies across the UK to tackle bogus caller crime by launching a nationwide awareness campaign.

The campaign 'Knock, knock! Who's there? Be stranger aware!' is supported by the Home Office, the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO), Water UK and the Consumer Council for Water (CCWater) and aims to raise awareness to all age groups to help prevent this distressing crime.
