Statement of Response
We published our Statement of Response in February 2009. This document explains how the feedback received from our public consultation has been considered.
Public consultation
Our 16-week public consultation closed in August 2008. All the feedback we received is available to view on our independently facilitated consultation website.
Background Information

Strategic Environmental Assessment
In view of the complexity of our draft Water Resources Management Plan, we undertook a Strategic Environmental Assessment on our draft Plan.
Water supply
Our water supply area covers around 8,000 km² and is divided into six areas or Water Resource Zones.
Demand for water
Each person in our supply area uses on average 160 litres of water each day, we forecast an increase in demand for water.
Managing demand
To effectively manage our water supply, we try to manage demand for water.
