There are a range of easy ways for you to submit your meter reading - just choose the one that suits you best from the options below.
How to read your meter
When reading your water meter, you only need to record the black numbers. You should ignore any numbers in red.

To submit your meter reading, you will need to provide your:
- Ten-digit account number (printed at the top of your bill
) - Full name, contact telephone number and the address of property concerned
- Your meter reading and the date it was taken

Send us a text message
You can send us you meter reading by text message.
Simply start a new text message and enter your ten-digit account number (printed at the top of your bill), then add a space followed by your meter reading.
Send this to 84771 and we will record this on your account and issue you with a revised bill.

When we will read your meter
We are required to take our own meter readings at each property at least once every two years.
This also helps to ensure there are no leaks from your water pipes and that we are not overcharging you.
