Hydrant licence policy

You can apply for licences to cover daily usage, or a period of three to 12 months.

The licence fee is dependent upon:

  • Estimated daily usage of water
  • The size of the standpipe being used

All fire hydrants in public streets and highways are our responsibility.

The fire services have direct access to licensed fire hydrants and can use them free of charge for fire fighting and training purposes.
