The Lee Tunnel will collect storm sewage, which normally flows into the River Lee from a single overflow point at Abbey Mills Pumping Station in Stratford.
We are also proposing to extend Beckton Sewage Treatment Works, in order to treat flows from the tunnel as well as a greater flow from the catchment.
