Community investment

Our community investment strategy operates under four main areas.

  • Education (specifically supporting schools and colleges)
  • Employee volunteering
  • Charitable giving
  • Community investment reporting

Delivering activities and initiatives

We work alongside various partners, including Education Business Partnerships, local volunteering organisations and charities, to deliver activities across London and the Thames Valley.

Through our programmes, we aim to improve customers' understanding of water and wastewater issues and promote a positive change in behaviours, particularly towards water efficiency and waste disposal.

This helps to improve the company's reputation among key stakeholders, and places a higher value on the service Thames Water provides.

Supporting our staff

Internally we seek to support the values of the company and of our staff through employee volunteering and charitable giving programmes.

This programme enhances the way that our staff already give time and money to causes and projects which they are personally committed to.

We use a thorough reporting approach to help us communicate the company's investment in the community in our annual Corporate Responsibility report.
