The Water saving gadget pages will provide you with further information on the gadgets that the Water Use survey may have suggested.

After you've looked at water-saving gadgets, your next step should be to create a Water Action Plan.

To help you, we've compiled some information about what your Action Plan could contain. Once you've designed your Water Action Plan, take it to the school management team for approval.

Remember your water actions need to be cost effective, so when choosing water saving gadgets consider how long the payback periods are.

Once you have a plan, spread the word! Small changes in the way we use water are often just as effective as water saving technologies.

Cost effective - an option that has a lower cost than benefit i.e. your water bill will reduce more than the cost of the technology.
Payback period - the time taken for an option to break even on the original cost.
