You can also read our leaflet, which explains how we can help if you are having problems paying your water bill.
Installing a water meter is free, and gives you more control over your bills as you only pay for what you use.
You can spread the cost of your bill by paying in instalments with the flexibility of choosing your payment date. We may also be able to agree weekly or fortnightly payments.
You may be eligible for one of four schemes available for customers who are in financial hardship and are unable to pay their bill:
Run in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions. For customers on Income Support, Income based Job Seekers Allowance, Pension Credit and Employment Support Allowance.
For customers already on a water meter. If anyone in your household receives a specific state benefit and has a large family of three or more children, or a medical condition that requires the use of extra water.
If you're on means tested state benefits and your water bill makes up more than 3% of your household income, you may qualify for help with your bill.
