Our Future Leaders graduate scheme
Our Future Leaders graduate programme offers development across specific areas of our business, backed up by on-the-job role placements.
We have specific pathways in Operations, Scientific Services, Engineering, Finance, Digital and Asset Management. You’ll be based at one of our treatment works or offices anywhere in our patch from Swindon in the west to Dartford in the east and anywhere in between.
For our general leadership programmes, we accept all degree disciplines. For specialised programmes, you’ll need a relevant degree with a minimum grade of 2:2 (or be on track to achieve this grade).
Our graduate programmes run for two to three years, depending on the pathway you choose. We'll support you throughout to gain the knowledge, skills and experience to succeed and progress as a brilliant leader.
Your application process
The application process covers several steps, designed to challenge you while helping us see your potential. At each stage, we’ll let you know whether you’ve been successful in progressing to the next one. We always aim to give constructive feedback to our candidates.
We actively encourage self-motivated and passionate people who're curious and come ready to ask questions. If you enjoy working within a team and are looking to develop your degree into a career, why not apply for our graduate scheme today?
What we look for in our graduates
As well as showing you're driven and eager to learn on the job, there are a few things you can do during the application process that may help you stand out from the crowd. Make it clear you understand the programme and development on offer and tell us why you’d love to join our team. See what we're up to on social media and look at some of the community projects we’ve been involved in. Research can go a long way!
We seek to attract, develop, reward and retain a mix of colleagues who offer different but complementary beliefs, talents and knowledge. We understand the importance of appreciating and harnessing the unique skills and backgrounds that each individual brings to our family. We're proud to be a Disability Confident employer and Stonewall LGBT+ diversity champion.
We always recommend checking your application for errors before submitting. Keep an eye on your inbox once it’s been sent, as we provide regular updates to applicants.
Having fun fundraising
If you join our graduate scheme, you’ll become a key part of organising fundraisers for our charity partners. Each year our graduates are split into teams and take on a variety of fundraising events as part of the 'Winnovators' programme. We have a calendar of events that includes raft races, skydives, quizzes and marathons.
Our scheme is now closed for applications but we're happy to hear from you with any queries – simply email us.
