Our graduate scheme

Our graduate scheme offers development across specific areas of our business, backed up by on-the-job role placements.

We currently offer 5 programme pathways:

  • Operations
  • Science
  • Engineering
  • System Planning
  • Hydraulic Modelling

You’ll be based at one of our treatment works, labs or offices in our patch stretching from Swindon in the west to Dartford in the east and anywhere in between.

For our programmes, we accept all degree disciplines. For specialised programmes, you’ll need a relevant degree.

Our graduate programmes run for two years. We'll support you throughout to gain the knowledge, skills, and experience to succeed in your chosen career path.

Your application process

Our 2022 process:

  • 14 January – 27 February: Applications open
  • Early March: Invitation to interview
  • 7-18 March: Telephone interviews
  • 21 March – 1 April: Assessment centres
  • April: Offers made
  • June – August: Pre-boarding activity

The application process covers several steps, designed to challenge you while helping us see your potential. At each stage, we’ll let you know whether you’ve been successful in progressing to the next one. We always aim to give constructive feedback to our candidates.
