Baker street

Last reviewed:

We have started work in your area to reline the water pipes along Baker Street and Park Road. Once the work is finished, the pipes will be much stronger and will ensure that we provide a top quality service.

Working hours

Our working hours are Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 7pm, Saturday 8am to 4pm and Sunday from 9.30am to 3.30pm. We will do our best to keep noise disruption to an absolute minimum.

How long will it take?

We’re planning to work from Monday 24 July for approximately 4 months. If that changes we’ll let you know.

How you’re affected?

We’ll be closing some lanes and restricting some parking bays and bus stops. We will also have a road closure in place on Ivor Place from Monday 24 July for approximately 2 months, we’ll clearly mark it out at the time and we’ll make sure our work doesn’t stop you from getting home.

Please see on street signage for parking suspensions. Footpath access will always be maintained to and from your property but please note that there may be a slight delay whilst we make it safe to travel. We will do our best to keep disruption to an absolute minimum.

Bus Services

Temporary bus changes

Some temporary changes will be in place during our work on Baker Street and Park Road. The following routes will be affected from 24 July for around four months:

  • 74/N74 - first and last stops will change. Towards Putney, buses start from stop F on Baker Street, near York Street. Towards Baker Street, buses terminate at stop W on Glentworth Street.
  • 139 and 189 - will be diverted from Lisson Grove at the junction of Rossmore Road. Rossmore Road eastbound and Baker Street (between Rossmore Road and Marylebone Road) will not be served.

Bus stop B on Baker Street (Baker Street station) will also be temporarily suspended from Monday 24 July until mid-October. Routes will serve stop A on Baker Street instead.
