How to pay online or by bank transfer
Credit and debit card payments
Paying online is quick, simple and secure. We accept all major debit and credit cards except for those registered outside of the UK and American Express.
Please allow three to five working days for your payment to clear.
Some banks may ask you to enter a password if you’re registered with 'Verified by Visa' or 'MasterCard SecureCode'.
Arranging a bank transfer
Set up and manage your payments using your bank’s telephone, online or branch banking service. Simply provide them with the following information:
- Your payment reference: This is your Thames Water account number, which is on the front of your bill. We need this to allocate your payment to your account.
- Our account number: 00286125
- Our sort code: 57-27-53
To ensure the payment will reach us on time, please take a look at how long each payment method takes. Paying late or missing a payment could affect your credit rating.
