We're working to reduce the risk of sewer flooding in Swindon.

Work so far

Phase 2 of our interviews with customers was completed.

We are currently looking at the impact of the Eastern Villages development on the receiving network, working together with Swindon Borough Council to collaborate on potential solutions.

Area of focus

Local development

Extensive development is also on-going in Swindon, most significantly the development at Eastern Villages (also known as EDA).

Customer and stakeholder engagement

We have collected customer questionnaires in historical flooding areas, to understand the root causes and frequency of flooding. This information will play a vital role to help build our business case for future funding to combat sewer flooding and loss of service. Our aim is to carry out further questionnaire surveys over the course of the next month.

We continue to liaise with Swindon Borough Council and local parish councils / flood groups to outline the work we are undertaking, and also to obtain information / concerns that they may have knowledge of within the catchment.

If you have been flooded by our public sewer or experienced restricted toilet use but have not let us know, please download and complete our sewer flooding questionnaire and return to us at the address on the form.
