Water is essential for everything we do, both at home and at work. In the south east of England water resources are under significant pressure.
It is essential that we plan ahead to make sure that we have sufficient water resources to supply homes and businesses in the future, while protecting the environment.
Every 5 years we produce a water resources management plan (WRMP).
This sets out our strategy to provide a secure and sustainable water supply for our customers over the next 25 years.
The plan takes account of future challenges such as the growing population, the effects of a changing climate and reductions in the amount of water that we are allowed to take from the environment.
In this section we provide:
- An overview of work underway to develop our next plan, called WRMP19
- Information on how you can engage in this work
- A document library so you can read reports, presentations and minutes
- Our current plan – WRMP14
