Thousands of Londoners will descend on the banks of the River Thames for this year’s Tidefest.

Thames Water is the lead sponsor for the popular family-friendly event, which is taking place on Sunday, September 10, and is now finalising plans for the day.

Thames Water director Richard Aylard said: “We’re pleased to be sponsoring this year’s festival, and hope even more visitors will enjoy this year's wide range of activities. The River Thames plays a crucial role in the day-to-day activities of our business, and Tidefest is a great opportunity to celebrate its importance with our customers.”

During the day, visitors can take part in a host of activities, including kayaking, fishing, guided walks and paddle boarding.

Thames Water will be joined by Tideway, the company responsible for the Thames Tideway Tunnel project, in sponsoring the event, which is part of the month-long Totally Thames festival.

This year promises to be the biggest and best yet for Tidefest, now in its fourth year, which has firmly cemented itself as one of the most popular family-friendly events in the capital.
