Andrew McNaughton was appointed as Advisor to the Board in September 2024 and to the Board of Thames Water in March 2025.

Experience

Andrew brings a depth of knowledge of the delivery of complex infrastructure projects and programmes across the UK and internationally. Andrew spent over 35 years delivering projects and leading businesses in industry including a period as the CEO of Balfour Beatty Plc before joining the Board of Directors of AWE Plc as a Non-Executive in 2021. In 2023, he took up his current role as Executive Director with AWE to lead their capital investment programme. Andrew is also a Non-Executive Director of Sheffield Forgemasters Ltd.

He is a Chartered Civil Engineer and a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering.
