Alexandra Park trunk main replacement

We’re replacing 4.5km of trunk main around Alexandra Park, including sections along Etheldene Avenue and Cranley Gardens.

By installing new, stronger pipes, we'll continue to provide a reliable service now and for future generations. Plus, this will reduce the risk of bursts and repairs.

When and where we'll be working

We’ll start works on Etheldene Avenue from Tuesday 18 August 2026 and aim to complete this section of the scheme by the end of October 2026. There will be a road closure in place on Etheldene Avenue for the duration of works. 

Our working hours will be Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm and Saturday, 8am to 1pm.

How this may affect you

• To maintain access during the works, residents can use Rookfield Avenue and Cranmore Way
• There will be no through route between Cranley Gardens and Park Road
• Resident parking within the works areas will be suspended during each of the phases of works
• Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles
• There may be an increase in noise and vehicle movements, but we’ll do everything to keep this to a minimum
