Bexleyheath clusters mains replacement
We're replacing cast-iron pipes on the clusters located in Bexleyheath.
The pipes are of various ageing materials, including iron and ductile iron. They are increasingly vulnerable to failure or bursting due to their deteriorating condition.
The new PE pipes will help to:
- Ensure customers receive clean water
- Help provide a more reliable service
- Reduce the risk of bursts in the future
When and where we'll be working
Work will begin on Monday 27 October 2025 and is expected to finish in March 2026. Please note that dates may change slightly, depending on site conditions and progress.
Our working hours will be Monday to Friday 8am until 5pm. Weekend or night working may be required occasionally. If this happens, we’ll let you know in advance.
How this may affect you
Your water supply may be impacted but we'll notify you of this at least 48 hours before. We are also anticipating extra vehicle movements and noise. We’ll do our best to minimise this and may install sound barriers where needed.
Resident and business access will be maintained where possible. Where not possible, we'll reach out to customers to arrange alternative routes. Emergency access will always be prioritised.
