We're busier than normal

30 August, 9:00am

With the Thames Water area officially experiencing a drought, and the ongoing intense warm and dry weather causing a higher number of issues than would be normal for this time of year, our colleagues are working as quickly and safely as possible to fix things; often in busy, difficult and extremely hot temperatures.

Unfortunately, it may take longer than expected for your call to be answered, to attend an issue, or for our operational or revenue correspondence teams to get back to you, but we’ll respond as soon as we can. Where possible, we would encourage you to check our website, www.thameswater.co.uk its quick and easy to use, and there is a lot of things you can report and do via there.

The drought conditions currently being experienced cause multiple issues owing to the ground shifting due to the heat, this in turns causes pipes to rupture and burst. We’re having to prioritise the repairs to ensure those causing the most disruption are attended first; this will cause delays in attendance for others.

Thank you for your patience while we work to resolve any issues being experienced. Our teams are working hard to support you, and we'd ask everyone to treat them with courtesy and respect.
