No water or low pressure

Update – 07:55 22/07/2026
We're pleased to confirm that water supplies have now been restored to most of our customers affected by the burst water main on Jamaica Road.
We've kept water flowing to customers by moving water around the local network, and all customers should continue to have a water supply. During busier times of the day, you may still notice lower water pressure while the repairs are ongoing.
Unfortunately, there was significant flooding and damage to the road, and the repair will likely take some time to complete. If you have been affected please speak to our customer representatives who are in the area to support.
Our teams remain on site and are now setting up to begin repairing the damaged water pipe. This includes completing the necessary excavation and preparing the site so repairs can be carried out safely.
Some of Jamaica Road will remain closed while this work takes place. If you're travelling in the area, please allow extra time for your journey and follow the signed diversion routes.
Sorry for the disruption caused. We'll provide a further update by 16:00.
UPDATE 02:30
Our teams are on the ground dealing with the 36’’ burst trunk main at Devon Mansions, on Jamaica Road, SE1 2BU. The London Fire Brigade also attended the scene earlier this evening at 22:30.
No internal customer flooding has been witnessed or reported on site and we are working closely with Southwark Council who are also in attendance. Urgent work is being commenced to make preparations for repair, and once the repair team have excavated the pipe we can begin to understand the complexity of the works required.
Traffic management and road closures will remain in place while the work continues to keep everyone safe.
We are sorry for the disruption and appreciate your continued patience while we complete the necessary work as soon as possible.
We'll provide our next update no later than 08:00, or sooner if there are any significant developments.
