Holman Road mains replacement
We’re installing new mains on Gwynne Road, Yelverton Road and Holman Road in South West London.
Replacing old pipes will reduce leakage and improve the reliability of our water supply. With a focus on the future, we're investing in smarter technology and stronger systems. Building a water network that’s ready to meet tomorrow’s needs, while protecting the environment today.
When and where we're working
Work on the junction of Gwynne Road and Yelverton Road started on Monday 29 September 2025. The scheme will be completed in phases along Yelverton Road and Holman Road. Our expected completion date is January 2026.
Our working hours will be Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 1pm.
How you'll be affected
- Road closure at the junction of Yelverton Road and Gwynne Road. A clearly signed diversion route will be in place.
- Some parking bay suspensions near to our site activity. Please see on-street signage for details.
- Increase in noise and vehicle movements, but we’ll do everything we can to keep this to a minimum.
- Temporary water supply interruptions. We’ll send you a letter with more details if you'll be affected.
- Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles.

Emergency services water supply
As we replace our pipes it's essential that we reconnect all building services that are in use. This includes any mains the emergency services might connect to, such as sprinkler or misting systems. Due to the age of some of these systems, information is not always shown on our records.
