Millennium main improvements
Since January 2021, we’ve been busy carrying out structural surveys. We've also been strengthening the original glass-reinforced plastic main.
We're relining the main to be compliant with water quality regulations. This is so it can carry water to your taps. We're relining instead of replacing the pipe as its just as effective and helps reduce impact.
When and where we'll be working
We'll be working in a range of locations for the next 2 years including:
- Admiral Street - complete
- Albyn Road dog park - until January 2027
- Brookmill Road footpath - until January 2027
- Friendly Gardens - until January 2027
- Kitto Road - complete
- Linden Grove - until January 2027
- Vesta Road - complete
- Vulcan Road - complete
- Wickham Road - until January 2027

How this may affect you
We’ll do everything we can to minimise any disruption to you while we repair the main. You may have already noticed closed road lanes and footpaths around the area.
