Our team on site has adjusted a number of valves, and your water supply should now be restored. They will continue excavating and plan to begin repairs tonight to minimise any further disruption to your supply.
Our customer representatives remain in the area delivering bottled water as contingency. If you are already registered on the Priority Service Register, there’s no need to contact us as we are prioritising deliveries, particularly for customers who are water dependent.
Tankers will remain in the area to support the network until all work is completed.

Update - 10:15 30/04/2026
Our team on site has installed a specialist valve; however, due to ongoing valve operations, you may be experiencing a temporary interruption to your water supply.
Tankers are in the area to help put water back into the network, with additional tankers on the way to further support supplies.
This is a complex repair that requires extensive excavation, and we are aiming to complete the work by the end of the day.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused and will provide a further update by 14:00.

Preparation work is continuing to support the installation of a specialist valve, which will play an important role in completing the repair. This valve will allow us to better manage the flow of water in the pipe, helping us carry out the work more effectively.
By putting these preparations in place, we’re aiming to reduce disruption and minimise the impact on customers while the repair is completed.
Our teams are working carefully to ensure everything is ready for this next stage, and we’ll continue to provide updates as work progresses.

Our team continue to work on site and are looking to install a valve to help stabilise the network further and to allow permanent repairs to start.

Update - 20:00 28/04/2026
A temporary repair has now been completed, and with the support of tankers, water supplies have been restored.
This temporary fix allows us to keep customers in supply while we prepare for the next stage of the repair. This will involve installing a specialist valve, which helps us safely manage the flow of water and carry out the full repair more effectively.
Work to install this valve will begin tomorrow as the required materials have been requested and are awaiting arrival.

We’re continuing work on repairing the burst water main, with only a small amount of work left to complete.
We’re sorry the repair has taken longer than expected. This has been a complex job due to the location, but our teams have been working hard to get things resolved as quickly and safely as possible.
Our support teams remain in the area while we complete the work and prepare to restore normal water supply.

Our team worked throughout the night and has identified that the repair required is complex. Additional excavation is needed, and larger equipment is being brought in to support the work.
Our team on site will begin diverting water flows this morning to help restore supply, and we'll aim to complete the repair later today.
In the meantime, we’re using tankers to put water back into the network to help as many customers as possible regain supply.
If you’re already on our Priority Service Register, there’s no need to contact us, as we’re already delivering bottled water. Our priority is to support customers who are water dependent as quickly as possible.

The repair has taken longer than expected due to environmental considerations involving newts at the site, which caused further delays. This has now been resolved, and work is progressing.
We will be working through the night to complete the repair and are aiming to have this resolved by the morning.
Our crews remain on site and are continuing the repair. In the meantime, we’re supporting customers and maintaining supplies where possible.

We’re continuing to work on repairing the burst water main near Sutton Courtenay. The repair is taking longer than expected as it has proven complex.
We will continue to remain on site and we’re also continuing to deliver bottled water to support those who need it.

We’re continuing to make good progress. The flow of water from the damaged pipe has now been stopped, as the main has been successfully isolated.
We have moved water around the network to help maintain supplies. Customers should now have water coming through their taps, although pressure may still be lower than usual.
Our teams remain on site and are actively carrying out the repair. We’re also continuing to deliver bottled water to support those who need it.

We are continuing to make progress with the repair of the burst water main near Sutton Courtenay.
The damaged pipe is currently being isolated to stop the flow of water. This important step will allow our teams to fix the main.
Isolating the pipe this will also reduce the number of properties impacted without water or experiencing low pressure.

Our team have found the site of the burst pipe and are currently preparing the repair.
We need to isolate the pipe before we can work on the burst. We will also be redirecting water around the network to reduce impact to properties.
Our customer support team are delivering bottled water to residents registered on our Priority Services Register.
