No water Low pressure

Last updated:

Update – 13:15 01/06/2026

We're sorry if your water pressure has been fluctuating, we've been in the area operating valves to configure the network back to how it was before the pipe burst.

For the remainder of today you may still experience issues with your pressure, but we're confident that once we've finished operating the valves, things will return back to normal by tomorrow morning.

Often when your water returns it may be discoloured at first (rusty, white or milky in colour), this is normal – for further guidance on what to do when you experience this and other issues following an incident, please see our After An Incident Guide

We'll then focus on the reinstatement and we anticipate this being finished over this coming weekend.

Apologies for the disruption caused, and thank you for your ongoing patience as we worked to get things fixed.

Update - 07:00 01/06/2026

With the broken pipe now being repaired, your water supply should be flowing at your taps.

We're now focusing on returning the configuration of the network back to how to was before, so we'll be re-diverting the water to how it was originally. You may notice slight changes to the water supply as we do this, but it will return to normal once we've completed our works. We're doing this in a controlled way to minimise any disruption.

Once we've finished the above activities, we can then begin the reinstatement.

Sorry for any disruption caused, and we'll provide a further update on our progress no later than 13:30.

Update - 15:08 30/05/2026

Customers in the SE22 and SE15 areas may experience changes to their water supply as a result of temporary network reconfigurations that were put in place while repairs were carried out.

The repair has now been completed, and teams are working to return the network to its normal operating configuration. This process is being carried out carefully to minimise any disruption to customers and is expected to continue overnight.

We expect the network to be fully restored to normal operation by tomorrow.

A further update will be provided here by 09:00 tomorrow morning.

Update - 10:27 30/05/2026

Our day shift teams are now on site and continuing work to repair the damaged pipe. We've been working around the clock and will continue to do so until the repair is complete.

Good progress has been made, with excavation work now providing access to the affected section of pipe. Our teams are focused on completing the repair as quickly and safely as possible. Your water supply remains unaffected.

Thank you for your continued patience and support whilst we work. We will have a further update for you by 16:00.

Update - 14:45 29/05/2026

Our teams continue to work digging down to the broken pipe so they can begin the repair.

The first of two excavations have been completed which will allow the team to access the pipe which they will then be able to replace. We'll be working around the clock to get things fixed.

Your water supply should remain unaffected while we're fixing things. We've re-routed water around the area to ensure as least disruption as possible, but during periods of high demand you may experience lower pressure, but things will return to normal once the repair is complete.

Thank you for your patience as we work to fix things. We’ll provide a further update no later than 10:30 tomorrow.

With the flooding water now stopped, our teams have been preparing things to repair the broken pipe in the Nunhead Lane and Linden Grove area.

We're getting all the necessary specialist equipment on site first, then we need to do further investigations before we can start the repair. This will mean we may not start the repair for a day or two. We need to do these further investigations to ensure everyone's safety.

When we begin the work we'll be working around the clock. This will mean there may be some noise from the site as we will need to do some digging.

We’re sorry if your tap water isn’t flowing properly at the moment. We’re aware of a burst pipe at the junction of Nunhead Lane and Linden Grove which may be causing no water or low pressure to customers in SE15 and SE22.

Our specialist team worked throughout the night to stop the leak and is currently on site preparing to carry out the repair and return the area to normal. Traffic management is in place while the work is carried out, so please leave more time for any journeys.

We know how disruptive it is if you lose your water supply, so we’ll work hard to get things back to normal as soon as we can.

If you or someone you know needs a little extra support, our free Priority Services Register can help us to understand your situation so we can take it into account as best we can.
