Update - 18:38 14/05/2026
Our teams have continued to make good progress with the repair works today, and one of the major repairs has now been successfully completed. Water is gradually being restored across the network, with teams carefully monitoring the system to ensure supplies return safely and smoothly.
Further repair work remains ongoing this evening, with teams expected to complete the remaining work later tonight. Additional investigations carried out today have not identified any further issues at this stage, although final checks will continue as supplies return to normal.
Water tankers remain in the area as a precaution and will continue supporting the network while repairs are finalised. Our teams also remain prepared overnight and tomorrow should any further work be required.
We’d like to thank customers for their continued patience and understanding while we work to fully restore normal service. We will provide a further update tomorrow morning by 09:00.

Update - 08:47 14/05/2026
Our teams remained on site overnight continuing repairs and working to restore supplies as quickly and safely as possible. While carrying out the second repair, we identified additional damage to the pipe which required further excavation work. A replacement section of pipe has now been ordered and is expected to arrive today so we can continue the repair without delay.
At the same time, we’re also continuing work on the third leak and are awaiting additional parts on site today to complete those repairs.
Once all repairs are finished, we’ll carefully reintroduce water back into the network and carry out further checks to make sure supplies return safely and remain stable.
Most customers continue to have water, although you may still experience low pressure or temporary interruptions while work continues. Water tankers remain in the area to help support supplies, and bottled water continues to be available for affected customers.
We understand this disruption has now been ongoing for several days and we’re sorry for the continued inconvenience. We know how frustrating this is and want to reassure you that our teams are doing everything possible to restore normal supplies as quickly as they can. Our next update will be provided by 15:00.
