Jane’s first career spanned 14 years working for EMI and Granada Media in music, film and television production, culminating in a role as General Manager of Granada Media Consumer Products.

She then took a busy 11-year career break to raise a family, living in America and Asia, where she took on management roles for several NGO’s.

For 10 years, Jane embarked on a  second career has been as an elected Town, District and Unitary Councillor in Buckinghamshire. During that decade, she has sat on the Board of the Bucks & Milton Keynes Natural Environment Partnership (The NEP) and the Buckinghamshire Strategic Flood Management Team.

In addition she chaired the Bucks Health & Adult Social Care Select Committee for three years, sat on the county Leisure Board and the Buckinghamshire East planning committee.

She has chaired the Chesham Flood Action Group (CFlAG) and the Impress the Chess chalk stream improvement committee, bringing together representatives from local government, environmental agencies and volunteer groups. 

Her Non-Executive Director role with the Conservative Environment Network keeps her in the frontline of developing national environmental policy, particularly around water issues.
