Pete Daw is Managing Director of Heart of the City, a charity that supports small and medium-sized enterprises to become more responsible and sustainable. 

He was Head of Climate Change for the Mayor of London for six years. He led a team of 24 professionals working on:

  • London’s climate change mitigation and adaptation
  • Water and green finance policy and programmes
  • Securing CDP's top grade for city climate action

With his team, he developed the London Climate Change Facility. This has now made over £1 billion available to climate projects in London. He contributed to the Mayor's net-zero pathway which helped to:

  • Implement the climate budget across the GLA group
  • Develop the Mayor's Clean and Healthy Waterways plan
  • Evolve the London Climate Resilience Review

Previously Pete worked for Siemens as Director of Urban Development and Environment at the Global Centre for Cities.

He worked with cities globally to develop sustainability strategies and approaches. Pete worked extensively on Siemens smart city approach in China, India, Italy, Greece and Saudi Arabia.
