Pete Daw is an independent consultant specialising in urban and environmental policy. He was Head of Climate Change for the Mayor of London for six years, leading a team of 24 professionals working on London’s climate change mitigation, adaptation, water and green finance policy and programmes and securing CDP's top grade for city climate action. With his team he developed the London Climate Change Facility, which has now made over £1 billion available to climate projects in London, the Mayor's net zero pathway, helped implement the climate budget across the GLA group and led the development of the Mayor's Clean and Healthy Waterways plan and the London Climate Resilience Review.
Previously Pete worked for Siemens as Director of Urban Development and Environment at the Global Centre for Cities. He worked with cities globally to develop sustainability strategies and approaches. He worked extensively on Siemens smart city approach in China, India, Italy, Greece and Saudi Arabia.
