We’ll be working in Station Road to install a major pipe in the area.
As part of the project, we’ll be carrying out the following work:
Works to install the new water pipe will continue along Inverforth Road/Upper Park Road. This will be whilst we continue to carry out works on the new shaft until February 2025. We'll be in touch before work starts on Inverforth Road and Upper Park Road. This is expected to start in April 2024.
We’ll do our best to minimise any disruption to you. Our current working hours are 7:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on Saturday. Please note, we have an hour before and after our scheduled working time in which we prepare and close off works.
If access to your property is affected, we'll let you know in advance. Pedestrians, emergency vehicles and bin collections will have full access to roads. View our business loss of profits policy if you feel your business has been affected.
You can view utility works, amended bus routes, and plan your journey online.
During works, Bus Stop L (Whitemore Close) will be suspended. This is the bus that heads southbound along Station. Bus Stop J, located further north near New Southgate Station will not be impacted.
To maintain two-way traffic, there will be parking suspensions on:
When working from Station Road, we'll need to install temporary traffic lights. The junction will also need be to be temporarily closed.
A new temporary footpath will be installed along the eastern side of Station Road. This is whilst our shaft is being constructed. Temporary fencing, with lighting, will mark the route of this temporary footpath.
Properties on Inverforth Road / Colebrook Way will have access impacted. This is whilst the junction is closed. Access is available during this time via Palmers Road. Diversion routes for traffic will be clearly signed. Pedestrian access will be maintained for residents and businesses.
Two trees on Station Road will need to be removed to facilitate the construction of the shaft. These will be replaced as part of the overall project where 17 new trees will be replanted.
