We're investing in our region by replacing trunk mains on Pentonville Road.
The new mains will help provide a more reliable drinking water supply. It will also help to reduce leaks and bursts and increase water carried in the mains.
We'll be working in phases from February 2024 through to 2026.
Our work site on Amwell Street was recently reinstated. Despite a great deal of design, planning and investigation, we have had to close these works early. This is due to complexities created by other utility structures within the area.
We'll assess the new design requirements and return at a future date to finish the work. We'll inform you in writing once the new programme schedule is confirmed. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. We apologise for any additional inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
You can view utility works, amended bus routes, and plan your journey online.
We’ll always do our best to minimise disruption to you. If access to your property or your water supply is affected, we'll let you know in advance. Pedestrians, emergency vehicles and bin collections will have full access to roads.
If you feel your business has been affected, view our business loss of profits policy.
We’ll use different methods to complete the project, such as:
We’ll insert new pipeline through the existing Victoria Main to reduce disruption.
Post installation surveys to confirm alignment with specifications.
Only where necessary, we’ll excavate ground to install new pipework.
