What’s the Customer Assistance Fund?
Our customer assistance fund can help if you are struggling to pay a water bill. To qualify you’ll need to:
- Have an outstanding payment from a previous billing year
- Provide your income and expenditure so we can assess your ability to pay
- Set up a payment plan for future bills
We've partnered with Auriga Services, a not-for-profit debt advice provider, to offer one-off grants that could help you clear your debt.
How do I apply?
You'll need to share information about your income and outgoings, so please have this ready before starting your application.

What's the Thames Water Trust Fund?
If you’re facing difficult circumstances and can’t afford essential items like a washing machine, cooker, fridge, freezer, bed, an essential household bill or something else, you may qualify for help through the Thames Water Trust Fund, our registered charity and independent grant-making trust.
All our shareholders contribute, which has helped us to donate over £6 million to families in need to date. We also give grants to local organisations that can offer you long-term support and debt advice.
