Ground Stabilisation Works

Last updated:

We’re continuing to progress essential ground stabilisation works on Kidmore Road, following the discovery of a sinkhole on public land.

Last week, our contractors completed trial holes to confirm the location of the grid we’ll use to stabilise the area. This preparatory work was vital in identifying safe injection points and enabling our geotechnical team to proceed with the next phase.

You may have noticed increased activity and noise at the site during this time. We’d like to thank residents for their patience and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

From Monday 16 June, our specialist subcontractors will begin ground stabilisation works. This includes further dynamic probing to confirm ground conditions and ensure injections are delivered to the correct depth and specification.

Traffic management remains in place, including the road closure and local diversion route. Pedestrian safety measures are also in place and are regularly reviewed to ensure the area remains safe and accessible.

We remain committed to minimising disruption and will continue to keep residents updated as the works progress. Our next update is expected during the week commencing 24 June.

We appreciate the ongoing patience and support of the community as we work to deliver a safe and lasting solution.
