GL54 - Hazleton area
No water or low pressure
Last updated:
Good news – we’ve now repaired the burst pipe in Hazleton which was affecting your water supply.
However, we’re aware that some customers may still have low water pressure or no water at their taps. This is because when a water main bursts, the sudden loss of pressure can allow air to enter the pipe network. During the repair process, water flow is stopped and restarted, which can trap pockets of air inside the mains. These air pockets can restrict the flow of water and prevent pressure from building up fully.
We’re working overnight to flush the system and remove the trapped air, but it may take a little while for water pressure to return to normal in all areas.
Your water may look different as the water supply gets back to normal. We’re here if you need advice after an incident. If your supply still isn’t back to normal, we’re here to help. Please let us know.
We’ll provide another update no later than 10am tomorrow. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
