No water or low pressure
Last updated:
We’re currently dealing with a burst pipe on Mill Lane, OX3, which is affecting your water supply. We apologise for the inconvenience and understand that it’s frustrating when your tap water isn’t flowing properly.
We’ve managed to reduce the water flow from the burst pipe, but we’re facing some challenges as the necessary valves are currently inoperable. This is putting additional strain on our water system, which may have a wider impact. Our specialist team is on-site working to isolate and repair the damaged pipe as quickly as possible. They will dig down to the affected area and determine the best approach for fixing it. To enable this work, traffic management will be in place on the A40, which may cause traffic disruption.
In the meantime, we will be using tankers to replenish the water in our pipes so that as many customers as possible can continue to use their taps as usual. You may see these tankers in your area over the next few hours.
We aim to have the burst pipe repaired within 3 hours of starting work. However, if we’re unable to restore water to all customers within 12 hours of first noticing the supply issue, we’ll arrange alternative measures, such as setting up a support station to provide free bottled water.
We understand how disruptive this can be, and we’re doing everything we can to resolve the issue and get water flowing again as quickly as possible.
We’ll provide an update on our progress no later than 3:00pm.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to fix this issue.
