We’re continuing to prepare for essential ground stabilisation works on Kidmore Road, following the discovery of a sinkhole on public land.

Grouting will be used to safely stabilise the affected area, with full road reinstatement to follow. The work is expected to take approximately 12 weeks once started. We’re currently awaiting a confirmed start date from our specialist geotechnical contractors and are working to expedite this as quickly as possible.

We understand the delay in starting works has caused frustration, and we want to reassure residents that we’re doing everything we can to progress.

Our existing traffic management remains in place, including the road closure and diversion routes. Additional signage has been installed to improve navigation and safety, with measures also implemented to enhance pedestrian safety along affected pathways.

As part of wider investigations, we’ve reviewed water pressure levels in the area. Initial findings identified pressures higher than recommended (around 6 bar), which can place extra strain on the network. We are gradually adjusting pressures to align with best practice and government guidelines to help ensure a more reliable water supply.
