Your water, your say: share your thoughts on Thames Water’s draft business plan

•  Thames Water is preparing its detailed business plan for 2025 to 2030 

• It’s everyone’s water – and the company wants to hear from customers, communities, and stakeholders across the region 

• Join the virtual ‘Your water, your say’ event to ask questions on topics that matter most, including, environment, water service, bills and more 

The UK’s largest water company is inviting customers, communities, and stakeholders to share their views and help shape its draft business plan for 2025 – 2030.  

Members from the executive team and board will be on hand to share details of the draft plan, and how the company is addressing challenges, including tackling leaks and storm overflows, and highlighting its work to deliver more for customers and the environment. 

The ‘Your water, your say’ event will take place virtually, 3pm to 5pm, on Friday 19 May. It will be hosted by an Independent Chair, appointed by the regulator Ofwat and the Consumer Council for Water (CCW). 

Customers are invited to sign-up and join the online meeting where they will be able to learn about and have their say on Thames Water’s investment plans for 2025 to 2030 including: 

• Customer service priorities 

• Environmental outcomes 

• Longer-term delivery strategies 

• Addressing affordability 

David Bird, Thames Water’s retail director said: “We’re committed to delivering safe, clean, reliable water today and in the future, so our customers, communities and the environment can thrive.  

Our customers are at the heart of our draft business plan and it’s fundamental that we listen to and respond to their needs. That’s why we’re hosting our virtual ‘Your water, your say’ event. We believe it’s everyone’s water, so everyone should have a say on how we use it, and how we protect it.” 

Thames Water plans to invest around £16 billion during the next regulatory cycle, between 2025 and 2030, to deliver the things that matter most, including creating cleaner rivers and a thriving environment, alongside supporting customers and communities.  

To make sure you have your say, sign-up to the event here. Attendees are welcome to put questions to the panel of experts during the live session. People can submit questions in advance to CCW, who will raise questions on their behalf and for those who can’t attend.  

Simply email questions to: yourwateryoursay@ccwater.org.uk, stating that your question is for Thames Water. Questions won’t be shared with Thames Water in advance of the meeting. 

There will also be an opportunity for individuals to attend a follow-up session later this year when the plan has been finalised.
