Mains Repair
Last updated:
We’ve fixed the broken pipe on the burst water main on Mount Park Road, W5, and we’re sorry if your water supply was affected.
The affected postcodes were: TW5, TW7, W3, W5, W7 and W13.
Having now fixed the broken section of pipe, we've been cleaning the network to ensure your water meets the highest quality standards before we put things back to normal. We're pleased to advise we are now beginning to put the repaired section of pipe back into use and gradually put things back to how they were. This will take some time, as it needs to be done slowly to ensure we don't cause any further damage.
We still need to complete a permanent reinstatement of the road, and then we will be able to leave site and open the road to traffic as normal, this we hope to be able to do at the latest by the end of this week.
As a precaution, water tankers remain in the area ready to pump extra water into the network should it be needed.
We understand how disruptive it is to lose your water supply, and we’re working hard to get everything back to normal as quickly as possible.
For safety, road traffic management is in place—please allow extra time if you’re travelling in the area.
If you or someone you know could use a bit of extra help, especially during incidents like this, our free Priority Services Register is here to make sure we understand and support your needs.
We’ll provide a further update no later than 11:00am tomorrow. Thank you for your patience while we complete the repair.
