Bibury is part of the Rising Main Programme to rehabilitate sewers across our area. This is a key element of our five-year asset management plan. As part of this, we're building a new rising main to provide greater resilience to the network.
By upgrading the pipes, we can avoid sudden and disruptive issues in the future. This includes emergency road closures and tankering from the pumping station. It will also help lower the risk of pollution and environmental damage. This will help contribute to cleaner waterways and a healthier local ecosystem.
We'll be working from 11 August and expect to finish in December 2026. We've detailed when and where we'll be working for preliminary, phases, and reinstatement.
You may be affected by our work during this time, such as traffic disruptions and road closures. We've included links to diversions for each of our phases. We are also anticipating extra vehicle movements and noise. Resident and business access will be maintained throughout. Emergency access will always be prioritised.
