If paying by Direct Debit, card or bank transfer isn’t for you, we have a range of other payment options to choose from. If you’re struggling to pay, we’re here to help.

Making regular or one-off payments over the phone by debit or credit card is quick and simple if you use our automated service, available 24 hours a day. You can pay by Visa, Mastercard or Maestro.

Please call 0800 980 8800 with your account number (printed at the top of your bill) and debit or credit card to hand.

Splitting your bill into regular instalments makes it easier to manage your bills and your budget. With our handy PayPoint card, you can pay each instalment at any of the hundreds of PayPoint outlets in the UK.

Set up a PayPoint card now. If you’ve lost your card, you can also request a replacement card.

If you’d prefer to pay over the counter at your bank or building society, don’t forget to take your bill with you. You can pay your bill in full or by agreed instalments at your bank. If you’re paying by cheque, please make it payable to ‘Thames Water Utilities Ltd’ and include your account number on the back. Please allow up to five days for your payment to reach your Thames Water account. While this service is free at most banks, we recommend you always check first.

Just take your bill and your preferred payment method (cash, cheque or card) to any Post Office branch. Please be aware that the Post Office may charge you for this service. Please allow up to five days for your payment to reach your Thames Water account.

Unfortunately, the Post Office can’t accept PayPoint payment cards.

Please make your cheque payable to 'Thames Water Utilities Ltd' and write your account number of the back. Pop it in the post along with the payment slip from the bottom of your bill and send to:

Please allow up to five days for your payment to reach your Thames Water account. We can’t accept post-dated cheques.

To pay your bill from abroad, please transfer the amount directly into our account:

If you only have room to enter either the IBAN or BIC number, please use the IBAN number. Don’t forget to use your account number (on the front of your bill) as a payment reference. We need this to allocate your payment to your account.
